Our Story:
Why Alice Ivy exists.
This app is a space where hormonal awareness meets self-leadership. Where your cycle isn’t something to fix or override, but something to work with. A place that helps you understand why your energy shifts, when to lean in, & when to rest without guilt.
Alice Ivy isn’t here to make you more productive. She’s here to help you feel more aligned.
Because when you understand your rhythm, you stop forcing consistency & start building a life that actually supports you.
Alice Ivy was created from a simple realization:
Most women are trying to live, work & perform in systems that were never designed for their bodies.
For years, I searched for tools that could help me understand my energy, emotions & motivation without pushing me to do more. I wanted structure without pressure. Guidance without shame. Ambition without burnout.
What I found was either too clinical or too spiritual. Nothing that truly held both.
Alice Ivy was built to bridge that gap.
Our Founder's Story
From fighting my body to learning how to work with it.
I got my first period when I was 13. From the very beginning, it came with unbearable pain and heavy bleeding. But like so many young girls, I had never been taught what a healthy menstrual cycle actually looked like. I thought painful periods, PMS and pushing through discomfort were simply part of being a woman. And when I couldn't handle it, I thought I was the problem.
For the next decade, I was prescribed hormonal contraceptives, searching for relief that never really came. Meanwhile, I was building my career, working 12–18 hour days as a wedding photographer, learning to hide my pain, show up, perform and eventually collapse behind closed doors. I became incredibly good at pushing through. But I was slowly losing the connection to my own body.
After years of fighting to be heard, countless appointments and medical investigations, I was finally diagnosed with severe endometriosis through surgery. What followed was another difficult chapter of hormonal ’treatments’, unanswered questions and a growing realization that I couldn't spend the rest of my life simply surviving.
So I started getting curious about my body instead of fighting against it. I began exploring holistic approaches, learning about my hormones, tracking my cycle and understanding the patterns behind my energy, emotions and symptoms. Slowly, I started rebuilding a relationship with my body that wasn't based on fear, frustration or force. And as an entrepreneur, something became incredibly clear to me: women shouldn't have to choose between their ambitions and their wellbeing. We deserve to build businesses, pursue careers, chase big dreams and live full lives without constantly working against ourselves.
That's why I created Alice Ivy.
Not another app telling women to do more, optimize harder or turn self-care into another to-do list. But a space to understand yourself, reconnect with your body and discover how to work with your own rhythm. Today, as a Certified Menstrual Cycle Educator and founder of Alice Ivy, my mission is to help women access the knowledge and tools I wish I'd had at 13.
Because you were never meant to choose between your wellbeing and your ambitions. You deserve to feel at home in your body while building a life beyond your wildest dreams.
With love,
Olivia Ivy
